happy women's history month! today's muse is audrey hepburn. she is a classic and cute icon that is timeless. i've posted outfits for funny face and breakfast at tiffany's in the past. below you will find 10 fun facts, a photo collage, 10 quotes and a song.

did you know:
1 audrey had a breed of tulip named after her.
2 during wwII, 16-year-old audrey was a nurse in a hospital. she confessed to eating tulip bulbs and tried to bake grass into bread then.
3 was trained as a dental assistant before making it big.
4 born in belgium as audrey kathleen ruston. hepburn was later taken from a mistaken old-family name in royalty.
5 she was 5'6" with size 10 feet.
6 hepburn was fashion designer hubert de givenchy's muse.
7 she owned a yorkshire terrier called "mr. famous".
8 saved the life of her friend capucine.
9 audrey was a three pack a day smoker and drank straight scotch.
10 she received the jean hersholt humanitarian award by the academy of motion picture arts and sciences for her work with unicef.

1 the 'third world' is a term i don't like very much, because we're all one world. i want people to know that the largest part of humanity is suffering.
2 i heard a definition once: happiness is health and a short memory! i wish i'd invented it, because it is very true.
3 people, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
4 for beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
5 nothing is impossible, the word itself says, "i'm possible."
6 there’s a very big division between what’s in the public eye and what you feel about yourself. i never saw in myself what other people saw in me.
7 it's that wonderful old-fashioned idea that others come first and you come second. this was the whole ethic by which i was brought up. others matter more than you do, so don't fuss, dear get on with it.
8 success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you're exactly the same.
9 my look is attainable. women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large sunglasses, and the little sleeveless dresses.
10 i love people who make me laugh. i honestly think it's the thing i like most, to laugh. it cures a multitude of ills. it's probably the most important thing in a person.
